- The maximum (138) is slightly higher than the optimal value.
- The minimum (75) is within normal values.
- The pulse (68) is normal for an adult at rest.
A single measurement isn’t enough to diagnose a problem. Blood pressure should be measured multiple times, at different times of the day and while you’re at rest.
⚠️ It is advisable to consult a doctor if:
- blood pressure frequently exceeds 140/90 mmHg ;
- symptoms such as severe headache, dizziness, chest pain or shortness of breath appear;
- you have cardiovascular disease, diabetes or kidney problems.
For most adults, the goal is to keep blood pressure below 130/80 mmHg , unless otherwise directed by your doctor.
